hello! i'm lauren, aka lo. i am madly, passionately and obsessively in love with food (especially all things porky, carby, chocolaty, or boozy...so, essentially, everything good).

originally hailing from the midwest, i graduated from the university of michigan with big plans to write and move to nyc (just like all the other dreamers in the big city). along the way, i graduated from culinary school and dug into a serious love of food that, so far, has propelled me along an amazing new path.

i'm an nyc-area transplant and native michigander with a southern mother (i'm pretty sure my stomach is southern, even if the rest me technically is not)  – and all of those places have played a huge role in informing my identity and my approach to food. this blog is just a way to share that beautiful mix of experiences and influences, fabulous food and, on occasion, a particularly outrageous adventure or two.
